Seed Grow Bloom: preview of letterpress print in 3 colours

I used 7 colours today in the studio. Two projects used 3 colours each. Every time a colour is added, the rollers must be cleaned- lots of patient work.  I usually work listening to CBC and I got into a nice rhythm today, no big frustrations or mistakes. Here’s some more preview pics.

love letterpress print- 3 colours plus blind impression

This print uses 3 colours and the final version has a blind impression, which is when there's no ink used.

setting up letterpress print

When testing the setup, I use a draft sheet for the first print. After an afternoon of testing, these makeready sheets become a type of art in themselves.
